Shirley Franklin "Frank" McBride, 74, of Doniphan Missouri, died Wednesday, May 14, 2008, at his residence.

Mr. McBride was born March 15, 1934, at Portageville, Missouri. He was affiliated with auto dealerships, most recently Current River Ford in Doniphan. Mr. McBride was a member of the Masonic Lodge and enjoyed working on cars.

On October 7, 1972, he was married to Margie Townley in Ripley County, Missouri. She survives.

Also surviving are three children: Rodney McBride of Tampa, Florida, and Karen Miller and Diane McBride, both of Lake Forest, California; three step-children: Gale Anders of Skiatook, Oklahoma, Ester Rivera of Houston, Texas, and Duane Middleton of Spavinaw, Oklahoma; one brother, Virgil McBride of California, eleven grandchildren and eleven great-grand-children.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Fred McBride and Laura Rooker McBride, and one sister, Lillian Upchurch.

Visitation will be held Saturday, May 17, 2008, from noon until 2:00 p.m. at the Edwards Funeral Home in Doniphan. The funeral service will follow at 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home chapel with Brother Harold Tackett officiating. Burial will be in the Towles Cemetery.
