Stella Roberta Pickens died May 12, 2008, at 12:55 P.M. at home after a short battle with cancer.

She was born August 22, 1935, to William Roy and Viva Louise Cato in Doniphan, Missouri.

She lived in St. Peters, Missouri, at the time of death.

Mrs. Pickens had worked at Wal-Mart since November, 1998, until approximately two months ago.

On February 19, 1955, she was married to Harold D. Pickens. He preceded her in death August 18, 1995.

She was also preceded in death by one daughter, Debby Fuller, three brothers, Robert Cato, Clifford Cato and Delmar Cato and her parents, William Cato and Viva Louise Collins Cato.

Mrs. Pickens is survived by one son, Danny D. Pickens, Sr. and wife, Vicki, of St. Charles, Missouri, and five grandchildren; Carri Reddick of St. Charles, Missouri, Danny Pickens Jr. of Ashburn, Virginia, Andrea Pickens of St. Charles Missouri, Kassi Pickens of St. Charles, Missouri, and Nicki Fuller of Jennings, Missouri; and three great-grandchildren, Bradley , Lydia and Preston, and one sister, Barbara Cummins of Scott City, Missouri.

Funeral services for Mrs. Pickens will be held at 11:00 A.M. Friday May 16, 2008, at the Edwards Funeral Home Chapel in Doniphan, Missouri, with the Rev. Clifford Cato, Jr. officiating. Visitation will be Thursday, May 15, 2008, from 5-8 P.M. at the Edwards Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Doniphan Cemetery.
