Charles "Frank" Franklin Haney , lifelong resident of Handy, MO, died Friday September 13, 2013 at his residence. Mr. Haney, son of Marion and Irene Haney, was born January 29, 1942, in Handy, Missouri. He was an airplane mechanic and farmer. He served in the United States Army during the Korean and Vietnam wars. Mr. Haney enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, gardening and canning and was a member of the Handy Community Church, Western Cherokee Nation and the NRA.. Mr. Haney was first married to Judy Catherine who proceeded him in death on June 5, 1982 then on August 24, 1997 he married Linda Fay Sherrod and she survives. Also surviving are one son Charles "Charlie" Haney of Handy; two daughters Rita Karen Hinkle and Tina Jane Combes both of Stratford, OK; three sisters Anna Whaley of Doniphan, Sara Chaffen of Poplar Bluff, and Clara Ray of Handy; two brothers John Haney of Doniphan and George Haney of Centrahoma OK; twelve grandchildren, C.J, Bradley, Christopher, Dale, Katherine, Tyler, Shilo, Justin, Boyd, Dylon, Haley & Lacey; Four great-grandchildren William, Sarah, Sebastion, & Isabella; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and one ex-wife Jessie Haney. He was preceded in death by his parents, his first wife, one son William Thomas Haney and five brothers Lonnie, Joe, Noah, William and Marion. Visitation for Mr. Haney will be from 10 AM till time of seervice at 1:00 P.M. Tuesday at Handy Community Church burial will follow at Handy Cemetery, with full military honors.
