Darel Raburn King, 86, of Doniphan, Missouri, died Friday, August 16, 2013, at his residence in rural Ripley County.
Mr. King, son of Oscar and Nettie (Gray) King, was born July 14, 1927, in Caruthersville, Missouri. He was a self-employed mechanic. Mr. King was a veteran of World War II, having served in the U. S. Army.
On March 1, 1975, he was married to Mary Conder in Caruthersville and she survives.
Also surviving are two sons, Bill (and Becky) McMillen of Doniphan and Jack McMillen of Park Hills, Missouri; one sister, June Rose Helms of Little Rock, Arkansas; and 9 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and 8 great-great-grandchildren. Darel also left behind good friends, Kelly and Delinda Cisco and all his brothers and sisters - the whole congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one son, Larry Jethal McMillen, and one brother, Reginald Wallace King.
Visitation will be held Monday, August 19, 2013, beginning at noon at the Edwards Funeral Home in Doniphan and the funeral service will follow at 2:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. Burial will be in the Doniphan City Cemetery.
