Augusta Lee Murray, 81, of Doniphan died August 16, 2013, at the Poplar Bluff Regional Center.
Mrs. Murray, daughter of the late Thomas & Lillian (Smith) Payne was born March 19, 1932, in Success, Arkansas. She worked at Vitronics in Doniphan. Mrs. Murray loved her life on the farm, especially her chickens. She also enjoyed sewing, quilting, and spending time with her children and grandchildren.
Surviving are four daughters: Vivian Grimes, Delores Murray, Phyllis Austin, and Loretta Jean Hubbard all of Doniphan; one son, Thomas Edward Murray, Jr. of Doniphan; and six grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, and six great-great grandchildren.
Mrs. Murray was preceded in death by one daughter, Della Faye Spoonemore, her parents, and she was the youngest of thirteen brothers and sisters all of whom preceded her in death.
Visitation will be from 5-8 PM Monday August 19, 2013 at the Edwards Funeral Home in Doniphan. Funeral service will be Tuesday August 20 at 10 AM at the Edwards Funeral Home. Burial will be in Hitt Cemetery.
