Obituary of Frankie Dippell

Frankie Lou Dippell, 67, of Doniphan, Missouri, died Monday, April 21, 2008, at the Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center. Mrs. Dippell was born December 13, 1940, in Ripley County, Missouri. She was retired as a home economics teacher. Mrs. Dippell was a member of the Business and Professional Women's Association, Ponder Boosters, Missouri State Teachers Association and the Presbyterian Church in Doniphan. She enjoyed playing the piano, painting, singing, needlework and playing cards, especially bridge. On June 8, 1962, she was married to Larry Dippell at Doniphan. He survives. She is also survived by one daughter, Nancy Wahrenbrock, and husband, Mark, of Columbia, Missouri; one sister, Barbra Shirley, of St. Louis; one brother, Jody Shirley, of Doniphan; and one grandchild, Clark Wahrenbrock. Mrs. Dippell was preceded in death by one son, David Michael Dippell, her parents, Clarence Shirley and Mable Klenn Shirley, and one brother, Klenn Shirley. Visitation will be Wednesday evening, April 23, 2008, from 5 - 8 p.m. at the Edwards Funeral Home in Doniphan. The funeral service will be Thursday, April 24, 2008, at 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home chapel. Burial will be in the Mt. Olive Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Doniphan Presbyterian Church.
