Obituary of Robert Turner

Robert Lee "Bob" Turner Robert Lee "Bob" Turner, 71, of Doniphan, Missouri, died Sunday, April 22, 2007, at the Ripley County Memorial Hospital in Doniphan. Mr. Turner was born March 5, 1936, in Hayti, Missouri. He was a former car dealer and specialized in body work. Additionally he had worked for the U. S. Forest Service. Mr. Turner enjoyed music, especially playing the guitar. He was a member of the West Point United Pentecostal Church. On September 16, 1954, he was married to Golden Christene Evans in Wardell, Missouri. She survives. Also surviving are one daughter, Debra Saneford of Memphis, Tennessee; four sons, Larry Turner and Michael Turner of Doniphan, Bobby Turner and Christopher Turner of Vicksburg, Mississippi; four sisters, Betty Brackenridge and Shelby Brackenridge of Searcy, Arkansas, Patsy Bailey of Poplar Bluff and Linda LeMaster of Doniphan; four brothers, Johnny Turner and Dewayne Turner of Doniphan and Donald Turner and Jack Turner of Fairdealing; 11 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Hertes Lee Turner and Alma Grace Kincade Turner and two brothers, Randy Turner and Ronnie Turner. Visitation will be Tuesday, April 24, 2007, from 5 - 8 p.m. at Edwards Funeral Home in Doniphan. The funeral will be Wednesday, April 25, 2007, at 11:00 a.m. at the West Point United Pentecostal Church with Reverend Chuck Carr officiating. Burial will be in Towles Cemetery.
