Obituary of Candy Kelso

Sonja "Candy" Kelso, 61, of St. Charles, Missouri, died unexpectedly Saturday morning, July 20, 2013, in rural Ripley County, Missouri.
Mrs. Kelso, daughter of Walter and Glenna (See) Schisler, was born April 19, 1952, in Jonesboro, Arkansas. She had been employed with Superior Home Products in Wentzville, Missouri. Mrs. Kelso enjoyed fishing, crocheting, gardening, dancing, playing bingo and watching the St. Louis Cardinals baseball games. She especially liked being with her family. Mrs. Kelso attended the Grace Church of St. Louis.
On July 7, 1979, she was married to Timothy James Kelso in St. Louis, Missouri. He preceded her in death on July 15, 2013.
Surviving are three daughters: Karen (Tim) Hardgrave of Doniphan, Missouri, Kim (Eric) Young of O'Fallon, Missouri, and Jamie (Dean) Storie of St. James, Missouri; nine grandchildren, Chris Coin, Ben Coin, Leslie (Kevin) Downs, Sarah Kelso, J D Young, Cameron Young, Dalton Storie, Dylan Storie, Julie (Roy) Richardson and one on the way; one great-grandson, Abel Richardson, and one on the way; one sister, Sandra (Tom) Archer of Savannah, Georgia; one brother, Walter ( Sandy) Schisler, Jr. of St. Charles; one uncle, Jerry (Donna) Schisler of Jonesboro, Arkansas, and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and two grandchildren, Joshua Coin and Keegan Kelso.
Visitation will begin at 11:00 a.m. Thursday morning, July 25, 2013, at the Edwards Funeral Home in Doniphan. The funeral service will follow at 1:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Brother Hubert Payne officiating. A private burial will take place at a later date.
Memorials may be made to the Susan G. Komen Foundation.
