Gloria Jean Carter Wilkerson, of Doniphan, Missouri, formerly of Panama City, Florida, died Thursday, April 17, 2008, at her residence in the loving arms of her children. Mrs. Wilkerson was born August 24, 1943, at Panama City, Florida. She was a meat cutter in the grocery industry. A member of the Faith Assembly of God Church, her life was her faith, family and friends. Surviving are two sons; John Mullins and his wife, Debby, and Tony Mullins and his wife, Joyce, all of Doniphan; two daughters, Evelyn Hunt and her husband, Dr. James Hunt, of Doniphan and Jewell Caroline Newman and her husband, Gary, of Milton, Florida; one brother, John Carter, of Wewahitchka, Florida; three sisters, Opal Thome of Anchorage, Alaska, Jeanette Parker of Sikeston, Missouri, and Armetta Hinkle of Harbor Springs, Michigan; the father of her children, Frank Mullins and his wife, Pat, of Gatewood, Missouri; nineteen grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Mrs. Wilkerson was preceded in death by her parents, Benjamin Silas Carter and Ola Mae Mayo Carter, one sister, Juanita Hover and two brothers, Edward Carter and Ben Carter. Funeral services will be held in Panama City, Florida, with burial at Greenwood Cemetery.
