Bette Sue Ensz, 71, of Doniphan, Missouri, died Wednesday, April 16, 2008, at the Current River Nursing Center in Doniphan. Mrs. Ensz was born in Hackleburg, Alabama, on September 30, 1936. She had been a clerk at City Drugs in Doniphan. Mrs. Ensz enjoyed painting and was a member of the American Legion Post #78. She was of the Baptist faith. She was married to Patrick Henry Rowe on November 3, 1952, and he preceded her in death on April 22, 1979. In the fall of 1981 she was married to Al Ensz at Doniphan and he survives. Also surviving are two sons, Randy Rowe of Poplar Bluff, Missouri, and Keith Rowe of Doniphan, and one daughter, Patty Brents, of Clearwater, Florida; one step-son, Danny Ensz of Springfield, Missouri; eight step-daughters, Mary Ann Bell of Doniphan, Rose-Marie Straughn of Lees Summitt, Missouri, Barbara Maupin of Ash Grove, Missouri, Shirley Deligshmidt of Springfield, Missouri, Sarah Wymore of Arnold, Missouri, Doris Ormsby of O'Fallon, Missouri, Phyllis Ensz of Colorado Springs, Colorado, Kathy Walker of St. James, Missouri; three sisters, Faye Hale of San Diego, California, Luddy Christian of Upland, Indiana, and Lois Hale of Jamestown, Kentucky; twelve grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren. Mrs. Ensz was preceded in death by her parents, James Hall and Effie Stutts Hall, and four brothers, Johnny Hall, Jack Hall, Joe Hall and Doug Hall. Visitation will be Saturday evening, April 19, 2008, from 5 - 8 p.m. at Edwards Funeral Home in Doniphan. The funeral service will be Sunday afternoon, April 20, 2008, at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home chapel with Brother Johnny St. Cin officiating. Burial will be in Hunt-White Memorial Gardens.
