Ruby Loraine Hunsaker, 91 year old resident of Fairdealing died April 3, 2008 at the Current River Nursing Center. Mrs. Hunsaker was born April 25, 1916 in Fairdealing to the late William Chewning and Bertie Burhnam Chewning. Mrs. Hunsaker was a member of the Eastern Star, Current River Country Club, and United Methodist Church in Doniphan. She enjoyed playing bridge. Mrs. Hunsaker was owner/operator of McCollum's Drapery Business for thirty years. Three husbands, J.R. "Mac" McCollum, Melvin Hunsaker, and Raymond McManus preceded Mrs. Hunsaker in death. Two sisters and four brothers also preceded her in death. Surviving are one daughter, Karen Hill and husband Gene of Fairdealing; three grandchildren, Michael Hill of St. Ann; Kelly Hill and wife Stephanie of Fenton; Elizabeth Rowland and husband Fred of St. Louis; two sisters-in-law, Cleatus Chewning of St. Louis; Millie Chewning of Marango, IL; and family friend Thelma McManus. Funeral services for Mrs. Hunsaker will be held at 1:00 P.M. Saturday, April 5, 2008 at the Edwards Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Kent Wilfong officiating. Visitation will begin at 11:00 A.M. Saturday. Burial will be in the Fairdealing Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, family suggests memorials to the Alzheimer's Association.
