Dennis Ray Armstrong, 62, of Doniphan, Missouri, died Friday, February 25, 2011, at the John J. Pershing VA Medical Center in Poplar Bluff, Missouri.
Mr. Armstrong, son of John Wollard and Louise Virginia (Odom) Armstrong, was born July 15, 1948, in Poplar Bluff, Missouri. He was a truck driver. Mr. Armstrong enjoyed hunting and fishing and was a life-time member of the V.F.W. Post #3485 and a member of the Living Word Church. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and served in Vietnam.
Surviving are three sons; Jason Armstrong and wife, Jennifer, and Brandon Armstrong and wife, Charissa, both of Doniphan, Missouri, and Matt Armstrong and wife, Rena, of Bartlesville, Oklahoma; and six grandchildren, Jesse Redus, Casse Redus, Courtney Armstrong, Maurie Armstrong, Grace Armstrong and Ryan Armstrong.
Mr. Armstrong was preceded in death by his parents.
Visitation will be Saturday evening, February 26, 2011, from 5 - 8 p.m. at the Edwards Funeral Home in Doniphan. The funeral service will take place on Sunday afternoon, February 27, 2011, at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home chapel with Brother Jim Baggett officiating. Burial will follow in the Belleview Cemetery.
