Dale Glenn Farmer, 76 year old resident of Doniphan, Missouri, died Friday, May 31, 2013, at Southeast Health of Ripley County. Mr. Farmer was born October 15, 1936, in Anutt, Missouri. He was retired, having worked in propane sales and service. Mr. Farmer enjoyed woodworking, tractors, cows and the hay field. He was a member of the Emmanuel Baptist Church in Doniphan where he served as Deacon, Trustee and Sunday School Teacher. He was also on the Board of Directors at the Van Buren Baptist Camp. On March 3, 1956, he was married to Tressia Knoblock at the Poynor Baptist Church. She survives. Also surviving are four sons: Robin(Sherri) Farmer, Monty(Debbie) Farmer and Mark and Jay Farmer all of Doniphan; three daughters, Rhonda Burns of Naylor, Missouri, Judy Farmer of Doniphan and Gena Farmer of Kirbyville, Missouri; four sisters, Dorothy Brewster of Pleasant Hill, Louisiana, Edna Faulkner of Bay Town, Texas, Letha Smith of Sacramento, California, and Ruby Yeend of Theodore, Alabama; two brothers, Gordon Farmer of Doniphan and Herschel Farmer of Kansas City, Missouri; and three grandchildren, Jason, Jennifer, and Jessica. Mr. Farmer was preceded in death by his parents, Guy and Abra Farmer; one sister, Luetta Farmer; and brothers G.A., Art, Don and Howard Farmer; and one son-in-law, Chuck Burns. Funeral services for Mr. Farmer will be held Monday, June 3, 2013, at 10:00 A.M. at the Edwards Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Marshall Link and Bro. Randy Miller officiating. Burial will be in the Poynor Cemetery. Visitation will be held Sunday evening from 5-8 P.M.
