Sydney was a beloved kind friend. She mentored both young and experienced nurses--helping them become better in multiple areas, including nursing skills, interactions, leadership, and writing abilities. She knew when to give praise, give a nudge, or just be silent as her mentees grew. She was truly an angel here on earth for her patients and especially for the Veterans that she served so proudly. I have been blessed to have known her.
