Ronald "Ronnie" Ward, Sr., 65, of Grandin, Missouri, died Saturday, May 18, 2013, at Southeast Health of Ripley County in Doniphan, Missouri.
Mr. Ward, son of Elmer and Nellie (Richmond) Ward, was born March 1, 1948, in Doniphan. He had been a boilermaker with Union Local #27 in St. Louis. Mr. Ward was the president of the "South's Going To Do It Again" motorcycle style and in his spare time, he enjoyed playing poker.
On October 16, 1967, he was married to Carrol Cora in Madison, Illinois, and she survives.
Also surviving are two sons, Ronnie Ward, Jr. of Grandin and Albert Ray Brandon, Sr., of Ellsinore, Missouri; three grandchildren, Albert Ray Brandon, Jr. and Jacob Ward, both of Grandin and Jennifer Brandon of Reeceburg, Wisconsin; and four great-grandchildren, Leigha Brandon, Gracelynn Brandon, Kennedi Brandon and Krystal Brandon.
He was preceded in death by two daughters, Patricia Ann Brandon and Tina Marie Ward; his parents and four brothers, Herbert, Wilburn, Milburn and Donald Ward.
Visitation will be Thursday evening, May 23, 2013, from 5-8-p.m. at the Edwards Funeral Home in Doniphan. The funeral service will start at 11:00 a.m. on Friday morning, May 24, 2013, with Brother Hubert Payne officiating. Burial will be in the Stevens Cemetery on Highway K.
