Bessie Oletta Aycock, 93, of Doniphan, Missouri, died May 18, 2013, at The Manor in Poplar Bluff, Missouri. Mrs. Aycock, daughter of the late Charlie Brock, was born February 20, 1920, in Blytheville, Arkansas, and was a lifelong resident of Ripley County but, as a youngster, she had attended Baker School in Oregon County. She managed the Tin Lizzy for several years, enjoyed reading and cooking for family and friends. In 1963 she was married to Ben Aycock in Doniphan and he preceded her in death in 1981. Surviving are three sons: Tommy Prince, Steve Prince and Ben Aycock all of Doniphan; one daughter, Mary Payne of Blytheville, Arkansas; one brother, Jack Brock of New Mexico; 12 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. Mrs. Aycock was preceded in death by her parents, one son, Billy Prince, three sisters, Mary Ellen, Earlene and Edna, and four brothers Pete, Elbert, Ted and Gene. Visitation will be from 5-8 PM Monday, May 20, at the Edwards Funeral Home in Doniphan. Funeral services will be Tuesday, May 21, at 10 AM at the Edwards Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Hubert Payne officiating. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery in Doniphan.
