Joseph Taylor " Joe" Ray, 70, of Doniphan, Missouri, formerly of Maynard, Arkansas, and Judsonia, Arkansas, died Wednesday, March 26, 2008, at the Current River Nursing Center in Doniphan.

Mr. Ray was born June 26, 1937, at Leachville, Arkansas. He was an auto/t.v. repairman.

Surviving are two daughters, Brenda Beaty and Rhonda Patton, both of Doniphan; two grandchildren, Christy Mitchell of Naylor, Missouri, and Shannon Sumner of Pocahontas, Arkansas; four great-grandchildren, Ricky and Ryan Mitchell, Payten Boone and Jordan Sumner; one sister, Glenda Sue Crawford of Judsonia; one brother, Marvin Ray of Edgar Springs, Missouri; and several nieces and nephews.

Mr. Ray was preceded in death by his parents, Delbert Ray and Bertha Traylor Ray; three sisters, Geneva Barnes, Carrie Mullins and Connie William; and four brothers, Virgil Ray, Charles Ray, Robert Ray and Vernon Ray.

Visitation will be Friday evening, March 28, 2008, from 5:00 - 8:00 p.m. at the Edwards Funeral Home in Doniphan. Graveside services will be Saturday morning, March 29, 2008, beginning at 10:00 a.m. at the Pine Cemetery with Sister Pat Campbell officiating.
