Kathy Sue Blanchard, 52, of Doniphan, Missouri, died Monday, April 29, 2013, at the Current River Nursing Center in Doniphan.
Ms. Blanchard, daughter of Melvin and Anita (McGonigal) Murphey, was born December 5, 1960, in Doniphan. She had been a clerk in healthcare. Ms. Blanchard enjoyed reading, singing and music and raising her children. She loved to laugh and had an infectious sense of humor.
Surviving are two children: Trevor Blanchard of Springfield, Missouri, and Brandi Srader of Cincinnati, Ohio; her parents, Melvin and Anita Murphey of the Gatewood community; and one brother, Carl Murphey of Doniphan.
Visitation will be held Wednesday evening, May 1, 2013, from 5 - 8 p.m. at the Edwards Funeral Home in Doniphan. The funeral service will follow Thursday morning, May 2, 2013, at 10:00 a.m. in the funeral home chapel with Brother Leon Harvey officiating. Burial will be in the Union Cemetery.
