Denise Susan Swihart, 50, of Doniphan, Missouri, died Friday, March 21, 2008, at the Ripley County Memorial Hospital in Doniphan.

Mrs. Swihart was born June 28, 1957, at Detroit, Michigan. She was a housewife. Denise enjoyed raising and showing horses and she loved to hunt and fish.

On May 14, 1994, she was married to Ray Schmid at Doniphan. He survives.

Also surviving are two daughters, Michelle Swihart and Amy Tucker, both of Poplar Bluff, Missouri; two step-daughters, Joannea Previe of Chicopee, Massachusetts, and Jammie Schmid of Cleveland, Ohio; two brothers, Dennis Roggenbuch of Farmington Hills, Michigan, and Erv Roggenbuch of Jacksonville, Florida; and six grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ervin Roggenbuch and Jessie Thurman Roggenbuch.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, March 25, 2008, from 6 - 8 p.m. at the Edwards Funeral Home in Doniphan. Graveside services will be Wednesday morning, March 26, 2008, beginning at 10:30 a.m. at the Oak Grove Cemetery in Doniphan.
