Henry Owen Pruitt, 61, of Fairdealing, Missouri, died Monday, March 10, 2008, at the Current River Nursing Center in Doniphan, Missouri.
Mr. Pruitt was born September 2, 1946, in Indianapolis, Indiana. He was retired military with the Army/National Guard. Mr. Pruitt was a veteran of the U.S. Army having served during the Vietnam era.
On May 28, 1988, he was married to Patricia Nelson. She preceded him in death on November 12, 2007.
Surviving are one daughter, DaMona Zimmer of Doniphan; two sons, Jason Pruitt of Indianapolis and Justin Knapp of Fairdealing; many friends and several nieces and nephews, including Casey Jo Jameson and Mandy Nicole Zimmer.
Besides his wife, Mr. Pruitt was preceded in death by his parents, Brian Pruitt and Mildrew McQurie and one sister, Bobbie Jo Johnson.
Visitation will be Wednesday, March 12, 2008, starting at 11:00 a.m. at the Edwards Funeral Home in Doniphan. The funeral service will follow at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home chapel with Brother Harold Tackett officiating. Burial will be in the Pine Cemetery.
