Obituary of June Webb
Please share a memory of June to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
June Webb was one of five children born to R. B. Marrow and Lola Garrison. She was born in Norman, Oklahoma, on June 5, 1931, and passed away on March 9, 2013, in Hobbs, New Mexico. June is preceded in death by her husband, Stanley Webb, son James Webb, parents, R. B. and Lola Marrow, sisters Glenda Smith and Janice Strickland, and brother Russell Marrow.
June is survived by three of her children, William Murlin (Tina), David (Martha), and Jerry (Evelyn), 12 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, sister Joann Thomas, and numerous family and friends.
June Marrow spent her childhood in Texas and Oklahoma. As a young adult, she attended Oklahoma State University where she obtained a BS degree in Health Science and became a Registered Nurse. As a result of this profession, she met and married Stanley Webb on January 12, 1956, in Pampa, Texas. In the next 5 years she gave birth to four boys (or house apes, as she would say). In 1967, they moved to Bakersfield, California, where she became an active member of the First Pentecostal Church, and taught Health and Science at Bethel Apostolic Academy. She then obtained her Master's degree in Health Science and became a hospital supervisor at Kern Medical Center. In the late 80's they moved to Taft, California, where she became a member of Taft United Pentecostal Church. In the early 90's, Stanley and June moved to Doniphan, Missouri, and attended West Point Pentecostal Church, where they resided until Stanley's death. June spent the last of her years living with her son, Murlin, in Montana, North Dakota, and New Mexico.
June was a dynamic lady, full of fun and energy. She loved God, her family, and her church family with all of her heart. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends, but we know that we'll meet her again someday soon in Heaven.
Visitation will be Saturday morning, March 16, 2013, beginning at 11:00 a.m. at the West Point Pentecostal Church in Doniphan. The funeral service will follow at 1:00 p.m. in the church sanctuary with Brother Chuck Carr officiating. Burial will be in the Pratt Cemetery.
