Eleanor Jean Bryant, 82, of Naylor, Missouri, died Thursday, February 21, 2013, at Delmar Gardens in Fenton, Missouri. Mrs. Bryant, daughter of Charles and Marjorie (Ankney) Bergman, was born May 2, 1930, in Wheatland, Wyoming. She had retired as a high school business teacher with the Naylor R-2 School District in Naylor after 26 years in education. Mrs. Bryant was an avid dancer and enjoyed traveling. She was a member of Rebecca Club of Poplar Bluff, past-president of SEMO Blind Club and was a member of St. Benedicts Catholic Church. Mrs. Bryant volunteered to do taxes for AARP patrons and was active with the Naylor and Neelyville Nutrition Centers. She was married to Norman G. Bryant and he preceded her in death in 1987. Surviving are four sons; Walter Bryant of Pea Ridge, Arkansas, Dennis Bryant of Jacksonville, Florida, Fred Bryant of Fenton, Missouri, and Weldon Bryant of Fairdealing, Missouri; three brothers, Robert "Bob" Bergman and George Bergman, both of Minneapolis, Minnesota, and Tom Bergman of Astez, New Mexico; and 5 grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, one sister, Charlotte Erwall, and one brother, Charles Bergman. Visitation for Mrs. Bryant will take place Wednesday, March 13, 2013, from 5 - 8 p.m. in the Edwards Funeral Home in Doniphan. The funeral will be Thursday, March 14, 2013, at 10:00 a.m. in the Edwards Funeral Home Chapel with Father Joseph officiating. Burial will be in the Gum Cemetery near Naylor. Donations may be made to the Naylor Nutrition Center, P. O. Box 281, Naylor, MO 63953.
