Jake Cooper
Jacob Lee Cooper, 60, of Grandin, Missouri, died Thursday, February 28, 2008, at his residence.
Mr. Cooper was born February 24, 1948, at Portland, Indiana. He had worked for Alltel, telephone communications. He enjoyed hunting, swapping lies and spending time with his grandchildren.
On February 10, 1967, he was married to Sara Gene York at Malden, Missouri, and she survives.
Also surviving are one son, Jason Cooper of Grandin and one daughter, Laura Wright of Hoxie, Arkansas; four sisters, Nola Lakamp of Auburn, Indiana, Lois Ellington of Doniphan, Missouri, Ida Moltzen of Grantin, Wisconsin, and Edith Oberg of Finger, Tennessee; and three grandchildren, McKenzie Cooper of Potosi, Missouri, Sara Ann Wright and Cooper Wright, both of Hoxie.
Mr. Cooper was preceded in death by his parents, Lois Eli Cooper and Audra Fay Teeple Cooper.
Visitation will be Sunday, March 2, 2008, from 5:00 - 8:00 p.m. at the Edwards Funeral Home in Doniphan. The funeral service will be Monday morning, March 3, 2008, at 11:00 a.m. at the Edwards Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Curtis Crowley officiating. Burial will be in the New Hope cemetery.
