Wanda Jo Medling, 70 year old resident of Marble Hill, MO, died December 31, 2012 at the Southeast Hospital in Cape Girardeau, MO. Mrs. Medling was born January 16, 1942 in Fairdealing, MO to the late Henry Lloyd and Iona Alice Allen Ward. She was a homemaker and enjoyed word puzzles, yard work, gardening, and especially taking care of her grandchildren. She also enjoyed taking care of her family and friends. She was a member of the Liberty Congregational Methodist Church in Marquand, MO. On April 23, 1966, in Poplar Bluff, MO, she was married to Jerry Ray Medling, who survives. Also surviving are 1 son, Rod Medling of Patton, MO; 3 daughters, JoAnn Riggs and husband Tim of Poplar Bluff, MO; Sherri McMillian and husband Rick of Sedgewickville, MO; Kim Williams and husband Jimmy of Jefferson City, MO; 1 sister, Faye Meyer of Fairdealing, MO; 3 brothers, Lloyd Allen Ward of Doniphan, MO; Dale Ward of Philomath, OR; and Lyndel Ward of Oxly, MO; also surviving are 6 grandchildren, Sabrina Fite and husband Corey of Newville, PA; Tyler and Trenton Riggs of Poplar Bluff, MO; Ryan and Natalie Williams of Jefferson City, MO; Isaac McMillian of Sedgewickville, MO; and 1 great-grandchild, Zeryk Leroy Fite of Newville, PA. Funeral services for Mrs. Medling will be held Friday, January 4, 2013 at 10:00 A.M. in the Edwards Funeral Home Chapel. Officiating will be Pastors Darrell Shrum, Jamie Hovis, and Marvin Richards. Burial will be in the Ward Cemetery in Fairdealing, MO. Visitation will be on Thursday, January 3, 2013 from 5-8 P.M. Memorials may be made to the Ward Cemetery HC 73 Box 2085 Fairdealing, MO 63939.
