Obituary of Ava Weber

Ava "Jean" Weber, 70, of Doniphan, Missouri, died Wednesday, December 19, 2012, at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis.
Mrs. Weber, daughter of J. T. and Adaline (Skelton) Clanton, Jr., was born November 10, 1942, in Lake City, Arkansas. She had worked at Vitronic Manufacturing and was also a housewife. Mrs. Weber was a very active member of the Current River Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School and Vacation Bible School. She also helped to send children to church camp and drove the church van for several years. She also enjoyed driving across the country to see family.
On August 20, 1961, she was married to Anthony Weber in LaPorte, Indiana. He preceded her in death on March 5, 1989.
Surviving are one son, Joe Weber of Chula Vista, California; two daughters, Cheryl Blyth of Key West, Florida, and Laura Agee of Salado, Texas; her mother, Adaline Clanton of LaPorte, Indiana; four sisters, Ginger Stone of Waco, Texas, Sue Rosentreter and Helen Masterson, both of LaPorte, Indiana; Kay Clanton of Doniphan; five brothers, Dane Clanton of Union Mills, Indiana, Richard Masterson of Tacoma, Washington, Don Clanton of Oslo, Norway, and Doug Masterson and Frank Masterson, both of LaPorte, Indiana; six grandchildren; and a special friend who was like a son to her, Scott Eatherton of Doniphan.
She was preceded in death by her father, J. T. Clanton, Jr., her husband, Anthony Weber, a step-mother, June Clanton, and one brother, Brad Masterson.
Visitation for Mrs. Weber will be Friday evening, December 21, 2012, from 5 - 8 p.m. at the Current River Baptist Church in Doniphan. The funeral service will follow at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, December 22, 2012, at the Current River Baptist Church with Reverend Wes Flaugh officiating. Burial will be in the Doniphan City Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to Current River Baptist Church.
