Acel Glenn Little, of Picayune, Mississippi, died Monday, December 10, 2012, in Slidell, Louisiana. Mr. Little, son of Willie and Dorothy (McGee) Little, was born September 21, 1940, in Doniphan, Missouri. He was retired from the U. S. Air Force and had served as an Air Traffic Control Superintendent. During his tenure in military service, Mr. Little earned a Bronze Star, Small Arms Marksmanship Ribbon, Combat Readiness Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal, Air Force Good Conduct/Commendation Medals and Outstanding Unit Award. He was married to Helen Elizabeth Windham and she survives. Also surviving are his mother, Dorothy Little of Doniphan; his children, Katrina (and Rick) Feller and Acel Little, both of Joplin, Missouri, and Brandi (and Joseph) Satimore of Hattiesburg, Mississippi; one brother, Waymon (and Barbara) Little of Doniphan; two sisters, Earnsteen (and Dea) Pigg and Janice (and Curtis) Tucker, both of Doniphan; five grandchildren, Kandice Gilliam and Kaycia Feller, both of Joplin, Missouri, Elizabeth Satimore, Hailey Satimore and Aiden Satimore, all of Hattiesburg; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his father, Willie Little, one brother, Kenneth Little, four sisters, Juanita Pigg, Wilma Jean Little, Imogene Little and Birdie Richmond maternal grandparents, Joseph and Emily McGee, paternal grandparents, Tommy and Ader Little, and one niece, Bonnie Little. Visitation for Mr. Little will be Sunday evening, December 16, 2012, from 5 - 7 p.m. at the Edwards Funeral Home in Doniphan. The funeral service will be Monday morning, December 17, 2012, at 10:00 a.m. at the Edwards Funeral Home Chapel and burial will follow at 1:00 p.m. in the Bloomfield Veteran's Cemetery in Bloomfield, Missouri, with full military honors.
