Charles Grayson Prosser, 76, of Doniphan, Missouri, died Tuesday, February 8, 2011, at his residence. Mr. Prosser, son of Charles Arthur and Griselda (Gaus) Prosser, was born October 3, 1934, in St. Louis, Missouri. He enlisted in the United States Air Force in 1953 and served 4 years in the Korean War. After being honorably discharged, he was both a policeman, then a fireman while attending Electronics Technician School. He worked for General Electric for 6 years; then he was in the telecommunications field for 30 years. He retired in 1999. Mr. Prosser was a member of the American Legion and enjoyed boating, flying, reading and watching and talking about sports. He was of the Catholic faith. He was married to Donna Lewis on June 10, 1993, in St. Louis, Missouri. She survives. Also surviving are one son; Charles Arthur (and Cyndi) Prosser of St. Louis, Missouri; one daughter, Cheri Prosser Tatsch of Wimberley, Texas; and three step-children, Laura (and Terry) White and Robin (and Dale) Hudson, both of Doniphan and Peggy Alexander of Montgomery City, Missouri; four grandchildren, Andrew Prosser, Lindsay Prosser, Ashley Tatsch and Kelsey Tatsch; seven step-grandchildren, Ashley Haynes, Britney White, Mike McNeary, Kristen McNeary, Alex Graham, Caitlin Graham and Lily Grace Keyes; and three great-grandchildren, Kavan Prosser and Kassidy Prosser and Karson Tatsch-Slaughter. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Griselda Prosser, one sister, Lorraine Prosser McFarland, and one grand-daughter, Stacey Tatsch. Visitation for Mr. Prosser will be Saturday, February 12, 2011, starting at noon in the Edwards Funeral Home in Doniphan with the funeral to follow at 2:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. Father Coon will officiate. Burial will be held at a later date in the Pulaski Catholic Cemetery.
