Pauline Patricia Townsend, 74, of Grandin, Missouri, formerly of Venice, Illinois, died Monday, January 21, 2008, at her residence.
Mrs. Townsend was born April 15, 1933, in St. Louis, Missouri. She was a loving housewife and mother who enjoyed feeding birds, science fiction and sewing.
On September 6, 1950, she was married to Lee Cecil Townsend in Pocahontas, Arkansas. He preceded her in death on October 10, 2005.
She is survived by four sons; Ronald Townsend of Jonesboro, Georgia, Albert Townsend of Livingston, Illinois, Kenneth Townsend of Granite City, Illinois, and Eddie Townsend of Cottage Hills, Illinois; two daughters, Betty Townsend of Valles Mines, Missouri, and Barbara Ellen Soto of Southgate, Michigan; seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Townsend was preceded in death by her husband and her parents, Alfred Hansson and Alberta Pittman Hansson.
Visitation will be Friday evening, January 25, 2008, from 5:00 - 8:00 p.m. at the Edwards Funeral Home in Doniphan, Missouri. Funeral services will be Saturday morning, January 26, 2008, at 10:00 a.m. at the Edwards Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in the Grandin Cemetery in Grandin, Missouri.
