Clifford "Cliff" Moore, 63, life-long resident of Doniphan, Missouri, died Monday, November 26, 2012, at the John J. Pershing V. A. Medical Center in Poplar Bluff, Missouri. Mr. Moore, son of Henry Clarence and Elsie Marie (Avery) Moore, was born December 26, 1948, in Pocahontas, Arkansas. He was a general mechanic and chief riverboat engineer. Mr. Moore enjoyed drag racing, fishing and rebuilding cars. He was a member of the V.F.W. Post #3485 and the American Legion and was of the Baptist faith. Mr. Moore was a veteran of the U. S. Army and had served his country in Vietnam. On February 11, 1972, he was married to Regina "Gina" Montgomery of Lawrence, Indiana, and she survives. Also surviving are three children; Clifford (and Victoria) Moore, Jr. of Oxly, Missouri, James and (and Tabitha) Moore of Fairdealing, Missouri, and Nyshea Moore of Doniphan; one foster daughter, Damona Zimmer of Doniphan; two sisters, Velma Byrd of Pine, Missouri, and Carolyn Hollis of Corning, Arkansas; one brother, James Edward Moore of Naylor, Missouri; seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild; several extended family members and many, many friends and loved ones. He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Elsie Moore, one son, Dustin Colby Moore, and one sister, Wanda McQuary. Visitation will be Tuesday evening, November 27, 2012, from 5 - 8 p.m. in the Edwards Funeral Home in Doniphan. The funeral service will take place Wednesday morning, November 28, 2012, at 10:00 a.m. in the Edwards Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Kevin Faughn officiating. Burial will follow in the Mt. Olive Cemetery with full military honors.
