Hazel Ruth Giunta, 96, of Doniphan, Missouri, died Monday, February 7, 2011, at the Ripley County Memorial Hospital in Doniphan.
Mrs. Guinta, daughter of James R. and Clara M. (Bass) Hunt, was born July 23, 1914, in Ripley County, Missouri. She had been a clerk for an insurance company. Mrs. Giunta had formerly lived in St. Louis, Missouri.
She was first married to Manueal Lopez and later married Charles Giunta.
Surviving are one daughter-in-law, Jeanne Camille Hunt, one grandson, James Steven Hunt, and his wife, Robin, and two great-grandchildren, James Jeramiah Hunt, and his wife, Jane, and Derek Mitchell Hunt, all of Paducah, Kentucky.
Preceding her in death were her parents, her husbands, one son, Jimmie Hunt, two sisters, Gladys Miller and Irene Skocy, and one half-sister, Lenora Larue Hayes.
Graveside services for Mrs. Giunta will be held Friday afternoon, February 11, 2011, at 1:00 p.m. at the Shirley Cemetery with Brother Dan Craig officiating.
