Velvia L. Collins
Velvia L. Collins, 93, of Doniphan, Missouri, died Wednesday, April 11, 2007, at the Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center in Poplar Bluff, Missouri.
Mrs. Collins was born November 11, 1913, in Howell County, Missouri. She was a homemaker who enjoyed flowers, crocheting and working in her garden.
On July 11, 1932, she was married to Hester Collins. He preceded her in death on April 1, 1986.
Mrs. Collins is survived by two daughters, Wilma Keck of Doniphan and Margie Willett of Cedar Hill, Missouri; one son, Kenneth Collins of Doniphan; fourteen grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren.
Besides her husband, she was also preceded in death by her parents, Enoch and Sarah Johnson Ledbetter; one son, David Collins; one brother, Ray Ledbetter; and one sister, Gladys Ledbetter.
Visitation will be Saturday, April 14, 2007, beginning at 12:00 p.m. at the Edwards Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home chapel with Brother Kent Harding officiating. Burial will be in the Doniphan Cemetery.
