Delma Ritchey Cox, 88, lifelong resident of Grandin, Missouri, died Monday, December 24, 2007, at Peoria, Illinois. Mrs. Ritchey was born October 17, 1919, at Grandin, Missouri. She was a member of the Ellsinore Community Pentecost Church. Mrs. Ritchey enjoyed quilting, collecting dolls and spending time with her grandchildren. On December 25, 1939, she was married to Clarence Herbert Ritchey. He preceded her in death on June 9, 1981. In October, 1987, she was married to Oren Cox. He passed away in October, 2000. Surviving are four sons, Clarence Ritchey and Curley Ritchey, both of Grandin, Cecil Ritchey and John Ritchey, both of East Peoria, Illinois; five daughters, Sarah King, of Grandin, Phyllis Adams, Naomi Wells and Cathy Brown, all of Ellsinore, and Yvonne Vance of Morton, Illinois; one step-daughter, Ruby Johnson of Doniphan; two sisters, Unath Hinton of Grandin and Virgie Dodd of St. Louis; one brother, Chester Dildine of West Plains, Missouri; and approximately 100 grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Mrs. Cox was also preceded in death by her parents, Chester Dildine and Violet May Wheely, two daughters, Margzetta Brown and Shelia Elaine Ritchey, one son, Corky Ritchey, one step-daughter, Mary Hackie and two step-sons, Wesley Ritchey and James Ritchey and two sisters, Alma Hogan and Elsie Dildine. Visitation will be Thursday, December 27, 2007, from 5 - 8 p.m. at the Edwards Funeral Home in Doniphan. The funeral service will be Friday, December 28, 2007, at 11:00 am. at the funeral home chapel with Brother James Huffman officiating. Burial will follow in the Grandin cemetery.
