Millard "Dick" Bodkin, 89, of Doniphan, Missouri, died Friday, October 19, 2012, in Doniphan.
Mr. Bodkin was born February 17, 1923, in Bradford, Tennessee, to the late Tom and Martha Bodkin.
He had worked for G.S. Robins as a truck driver for 33 years. Mr. Bodkin enjoyed hunting and fishing.
On May 24, 1947, he married Ella Tillman in Pocahontas, Arkansas, and she survives.
Other survivors include two daughters; Brenda Sveda of Granite City, Illilnois, and Kim Colburn of Doniphan; three sons Jim Bodkin of Doniphan, Tommy Bodkin of Villa Rica, Georgia, and David Bodkin of Madison, Illinois; 11 grandchildren, Angie, Sean, Jim, Chad, Dustin, Todd, Michael, Alicia, Heather, Dave and Staci; 17 great-grandchildren, and four great-great-grandchildren.
Mr. Bodkin was preceded in death by one daughter, Deborah Bodkin, and two sisters, Jean Bodkin and Aultie Gatewood, two brothers, Homer Bodkin and Willard Bodkin, and one grandson, Vincent Bodkin.
Visitation will be 5-8 PM Monday October 22, 2012, at the Edwards Funeral Home in Doniphan. The funeral service will be Tuesday, October 23, 2012, at 10AM at the Edwards Funeral Home in Doniphan with Bro. John Harwell officiating. Burial will be in New Hope Cemetery.
