Jewell Pearlene Williams, 92, of Poplar Bluff, Missouri, died Tuesday, December 18, 2007, at the Poplar Bluff Regional Hospital.
Mrs. Williams was born on March 15, 1915, in Pollard, Arkansas. She was a member of the Pentecostal Holiness Church in Poplar Bluff and enjoyed sewing, quilting and embroidering.
She was married to John Elmer Williams on January 22, 1931, at Piggott, Arkansas, and he preceded her in death on June 13, 1960.
Surviving are one son, Harvey Marion Williams of Campbell; two daughters, Ruth Evelyn Lewis of Poplar Bluff and Lois Eudene Younger of Katy, Texas; six grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren and several great-great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Williams was also preceded in death by her parents, Elijah Patterson and Alta Black Patterson; one son, Joseph Elmer Williams, one brother, Virgil Patterson and two sisters, Sylvia Book and Pansy Patterson.
Visitation will be Friday, December 21, 2007, from 12:00 p.m.- 2:00 p.m. at the Edwards Funeral Home in Doniphan. The funeral service will follow at 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home chapel with Brother Lester Galbraith officiating. Burial will be in the Oak Grove Cemetery.
