Reginald Curtiss Webb, 75, of Gatewood, Missouri, died Thursday, November 15, 2007, at his residence. Mr. Webb was born August 21, 1932, in Gatewood to the late R.R. "Boots" and Hope (Holland) Webb. He was retired from the U.S. Navy as a Lieutenant Commander, having served 24 years. Mr. Webb was a lifetime member of the VFW Post #3485 in Doniphan, where he was former commander and served in many other offices throughout the post and had been a previous district commander. He attended Ponder Church of Christ. Mr. Webb served on the Board of Directors of Ozark Border Electric Cooperation and enjoyed hunting, fishing, and all aspects of his farm. He married Virgie Lee Pritchard on September 11, 1982, in Kentucky. She survives. Other survivors are two daughters, Debra Hampton of Gatewood and Kim Powell of Puxico, Missouri; two sisters, Betty Faye Murdock of Doniphan and Carol Ann Krieg of Rushville, Missouri; 15 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Mr. Webb was preceded in death by his parents and one son, James Webb. Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. Monday, November 19, 2007, at the Edwards Funeral Home in Doniphan. The funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, November 20, 2007, in the funeral home chapel with Brother Harvey Seagrave officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Olive Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Ripley County Library or Mt. Olive Cemetery.
