Linda Faye Wood, 60, of Doniphan, Missouri, died Sunday, November 4, 2007, at the Current River Nursing Home in Doniphan. She had formerly lived in Van Buren, Missouri.

Mrs. Wood, daughter of the late Elbert Camper and Mable Irene Thurman Camper, was born August 9, 1947, at Portageville, Missouri. She enjoyed going to auctions, making fishing lures, feeding birds and she especially liked to be with her grandchildren. Mrs. Wood was a member of the Amity Missionary Baptist Church.

She was married to Jerry Wood and he preceded her in death on May 13, 1994.

Survivors include one son, Jerry Wood II and his wife, Tonya; three grandchildren, Ashley Wood, Jaclyn Wood and Jerry Wood III, all of Doniphan; four brothers, Windell Camper of Elkland, Missouri, Buster Camper and Butch Camper, both of Puryear, Tennessee, and Alvin Camper of Doniphan; and two special cousins, Steve and Sheri Coleman, both of Fairdealing, Missouri.

She was preceded in death by one sister, Vergie Camper, and four brothers Larry Camper, Dennis Camper and twins, Clifton and Clifford Camper.

Visitation will be Wednesday, November 7, 2007, from 9-11 a.m. at the Edwards Funeral Home in Doniphan. The funeral service will follow at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home chapel with burial to be in the Center Hill Cemetery.
