Gladys Lorene Creach, 86, of Fairdealing, Missouri, died Tuesday, February 1, 2011, at her residence.
Mrs. Creach, daughter of Chester E. and S. Marie (Smith) Shickles, was born April 14, 1924, in Detroit, Michigan. She was a housewife. Mrs. Creach enjoyed gardening, sewing, crocheting, reading, especially the Bible, and being with her grandchildren.
On March 28, 1942, she was married to Lonnie L. Creach at Poplar Bluff, Missouri. He preceded her in death on February 25, 1995.
Surviving are three daughters; Patsy Joann Creach and Londa R. Johannsen, both of Fairdealing, Missouri, and Vicki L. Grunz of Defiance, Missouri; five sisters, Mae Paris, Faye Brannum, and Carol York, all of Rockford, Illinois, Hazel Pickering of Kansas City, Missouri, and Betty Woods of Doniphan, Missouri; two brothers, Clyde Shickles and Ray Shickles, both of Rockford, Illinois; ten grandchildren, twenty great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents and three brothers, Carson Shickles, Chester S. Shickles and Joe Shickles.
Visitation will start Saturday morning, February 5, 2011, at 11:00 a.m. at the Edwards Funeral Home in Doniphan. The funeral service will follow at 1:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Brother Jason Jordan officiating. Burial will be in the Kinsey Cemetery.
