Edna Niswonger Obituary

Edna Faye Niswonger, 82, of Fairdealing, Missouri, died Monday, October 15, 2007, at her residence.



Mrs. Niswonger was born May 23, 1925, at Lena, Oklahoma. She was a homemaker who enjoyed making dolls, sewing, crocheting and making clothes. Mrs. Niswonger was a member of the West Point Pentecostal Church.



She was married to Hubert Lee Niswonger at Walnut Ridge, Arkansas in 1947. He preceded her in death in February, 1984.



Surviving are four daughters, Jeanette Niswonger of Belleville, Illinois, Leola (and Richard) Turner of Fairdealing, Angela (and Steve) Butler of Little Rock, Arkansas, and Elizabeth J. (and Carl) Hinkle of Oxly, Missouri; one son, Steve (and Susan) Niswonger of Saginaw, Michigan; two sisters, Martha Smith of Walnut Ridge, Arkansas, and Mary Robinette of Jonesboro, Arkansas; one brother, Lawrence Ashlock of California; eleven grandchildren, twenty-one great grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.



She was also preceded in death by her parents, Henry Ashlock and Ann Calvert Ashlock, three sisters, Laura, Dolly and Blanche and one brother, Henry Ashlock.



Visitation will be Thursday, October 18, 2007, from 5 - 8 p.m. at the West Point Pentecostal Church in Doniphan. The funeral service will be Friday, October 19, 2007, at 10:00 a.m. at the church with Brother Charles Carr officiating. Burial will be in the Lawrence County Cemetery.
