Obituary of Stella Anderson

Stella Elizabeth Anderson, 83, of Doniphan, Missouri, died Tuesday, January 25, 2011, at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center in Poplar Bluff, Missouri. Mrs. Anderson, daughter of Frank Henry and Martha Ann (Hazelmeyer) Knoblock, was born July 15, 1927, in Anderson, Indiana. She had been a clerk in retail sales and enjoyed sewing, quilting, gardening, reading and bird-watching. Mrs. Anderson attended His Place Church. On June 8, 1947, she was married to Leo Anderson at the Ripley County Courthouse in Doniphan, Missouri. He survives. Also surviving are three sons; Michael Leo Anderson and his wife, Linda, of Poplar Bluff, Missouri, Danny Lee Anderson and his wife, Karen, of Doniphan, Missouri, and Steve Alan Anderson and his wife, Mary Jane, of Poynor, Missouri; two daughters, Jeannie Arlyn Anderson of Poynor, Missouri, and Cheryl Ann Lovato and her husband, Tom, of Spokane, Missouri; two sisters, Esther Marie Windhorst and Tressia Ann Farmer, both of Doniphan, Missouri; two brothers, Frank Knoblock, Jr. and Gale Knoblock, both of Anderson, Indiana; and fifteen grandchildren, twenty-six great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. She was preceded in death by her parents, and one sister, Mary Delores Gwynn. Visitation will be Thursday evening, January 27, 2011, from 5 - 8 p.m. at the Edwards Funeral Home in Doniphan. The funeral service will start at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, January 28, 2011, at the funeral home chapel with Brother Ben Jordan officiating. Burial will follow in the Sugar Tree Cemetery in Poynor, Missouri.
