Joy Elaine Casteel, 88, of Weatherford, Texas, formerly of Ripley County, died Wednesday, Oct. 3, 2007, in Weatherford.
Ms. Casteel was born Jan. 1, 1919, in Ponder. She was a member of the Church of Christ and had worked in retail sales.
Survivors include one daughter, Sharon Casteel Erwin of Weatherford, Texas; one sister, Fay Edwards Green of Ponder; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Visitation will be from 5-8 P.M. Saturday, October 6, 2007, at the Edwards Funeral Home. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Sunday, October 7, 2007, at the Ponder Cemetery.
