Rachel Lavada Henson, 67, of Doniphan, Missouri, died Tuesday, January 25, 2011, at Current River Nursing Center in Doniphan. Mrs. Henson, daughter of William and Mable (Bass) Stanfill, was born July 26, 1943, in Manila, Arkansas. She was disabled. Mrs. Henson enjoyed fishing, collecting Indian figurines, embroidering and attending family functions. Surviving are five sons; Donald Edward Henson and Jackie Wayne Henson, both of Doniphan, Missouri, Eddie Lee Henson of Wichita, Kansas, Bradley James Henson of Poplar Bluff, Missouri, and Jimmy Michael Henson of Jonesboro, Arkansas; four sisters, Marsha Turner and Sherry Turner, both of Doniphan, Missouri, Edna Pollock of Marmaduke, Arkansas, and Pam Cunningham of Fairdealing, Missouri; four brothers, Jimmy Stanfill of Jonesboro, Arkansas, Jerry Wayne Stanfill and David Stanfill, both of Marmaduke, Arkansas, and Glen Stanfill of Doniphan, Missouri; seven grandchildren, Eddie Lee Henson, Jr., Dyllen Charles Henson, Austen Roy Henson, Heather Alexis Henson, Stephen Dale Ray Henson, Barbara Rose Henson and Matthew Henson; and numerous nieces and nephews. Mrs. Henson was preceded in death by her parents, two sons, Charles Hubert Henson, Jr., and Gary Lynn Henson; one sister, Debbie Turner Wealand; and one brother, Randy Stanfill. Visitation will be Thursday, January 27, 2011, from noon until 2:00 p.m. at the Edwards Funeral Home in Doniphan. The funeral service will follow at 2:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Brother Long officiating. Burial will follow in the Towles Cemetery.
