Ellen Harriet McKinney, 95, of Festus died Thursday, March 15, 2007 at Crystal Oaks in Crystal City. Mrs. McKinney was born August 12, 1911 in Ripley County to the late John & Dellar (Shepard) Rainbolt. She had formerly lived in Doniphan and in Granite City, Ill. She was a member of Antonia Full Gospel Church and was a homemaker. She enjoyed reading, crocheting and her nieces and nephews. She was called by her family & friends, "Auntie." On June 7, 1931 she married Lawrence McKinney in Ripley County. He preceded her in death in 1971. Survivors include one sister, Audrey Emmons of Festus. Mrs. McKinney was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Muriel Emmons and five brothers, Cleo Downey, Aaron Rainbolt, Ransom "Punk" Rainbolt, Max Rainbolt, & Harold Lee Rainbolt. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Edwards Funeral Home in Doniphan. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the funeral home with Brother Hamm officiating. Burial will be at Belleview Cemetery.
