Barbara V. Gettings, 75, of Doniphan, Missouri, died Monday, April 2, 2012 at her residence.
Mrs. Gettings was born Jan. 30, 1937, in Grandin, Missouri, to the late Fred and Beulah S. (Joplin) McGonigal. She was a member of the Soil and Water Board. She enjoyed raising cattle, spending time with her family and friends, gardening, and bluegrassing.
She is survived by two sons, David and Tom; seven grandsons, John, Eric, Jeff, Seth, Tristan, Matthew, and Mark; and three great-grandchildren, Landen, Kaylee, and Addison.
She was preceded in death by her son, Fred.
Visitation for Mrs. Gettings will be Friday evening, April 6, 2012, starting at 5:00 p.m. at the Edwards Funeral Home in Doniphan with a memorial service to follow at 7:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel.
