Neva L. Bissette Obituary

Neva L. Bissette, 84, departed this life Friday, October 4, 2024. She was born September 23, 1940, in Myrtle, MO, to the late Herb and Jessie (Hyde) Bennett.


 


Neva was a basketball and baseball fan with Three Rivers Basketball and Dodgers Baseball ranking as her favorites. She was a member of Doniphan First Baptist Church.


 


On August 9, 1958, Neva married Lewis Bissette at the First Baptist Church in Doniphan. He preceded her in death on March 3, 2014. She was also preceded in death by a sister, Rosemary Nickell.


 


Surviving are her children, Denise Young of Willard, MO, Joe (Vicky) Bissette of Poplar Bluff, MO, and Butch (Kathleen) Bissette, also of Poplar Bluff, and a sister, Reva (Mike) Schwan of Sharonville, OH. Also surviving are seven grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and a special niece, Gena Farrin of El Dorado, AR.


 


A graveside service will be held at the Missouri Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield, MO, on Thursday, October 10, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. with Ryan Bissette officiating.
