Curtis C. Barrett, 68-year-old resident of Doniphan, MO, departed this life Tuesday, September 3, 2024, in Ripley County, MO.  Curtis was born July 19, 1956, in Rockford, IL.  He had worked as a Welder.  He absolutely loved fishing and spending time with his family.  He always loved all his animals and enjoyed collecting coins and bottle hunting.  And when he wasn’t doing any of the other things, he was scratching lottery tickets.

Curtis was preceded in death by his mother, Shirley Kruse; two brothers, Calvin and Chris Barrett, and a brother-in-law, Bobby Walker.

Surviving is his father, James Barrett of Wisconsin; children, Bonnie (Jerome) Hare of Pocahontas, AR; Jimmy (Mandi) Barrett of Doniphan; Keith (Kasandra) Barrett of Rockford, IL; Heather Fiebrantz of Corning, AR; Holly (Ryan) Ponder of Doniphan, MO; Cheyenne (Regan) Barrett of Doniphan, MO; his sisters, Carrie Barrett (Jason) Parcus of Ellsinore, MO, Carla (James) Blackwell of Milford, IL, and Charlene Walker of Watseka, IL; and 21 grandchildren; and 9 great-grandchildren. 

A private memorial service will be planned.
