Obituary of Dorothy Elizabeth Williams

Dorothy Elizabeth Williams, 86, of Doniphan, MO, departed this life Wednesday, June 26, 2024. She was born October 9, 1937, in Houston, TX, to the late Holman and Lela (Pendergraft) Anderson.

A member of Current River Baptist Church, Dorothy had a heart for serving others. She had worked in home healthcare and volunteered at the Lean on Me Food Pantry. Dorothy had also experienced life on the farm as she and her husband had spent time farming. She liked to embroidery, making beautifully handcrafted items.

On April 23, 1961, Dorothy married Francis Randolph Williams, Sr. He preceded her in death. She was also preceded by a sister, Thelma Long; brothers, Harold Anderson, Eugene Anderson, and James Anderson; and a daughter-in-law, Susan Williams.

Surviving are her sons, Michael (Rebecca) Williams of Doniphan, John (Tina) Williams of Battlefield, MO, and Francis Randolph Williams, Jr. of Springfield, MO; grandchildren, Crystal, Heather, Clyde, Zachary, Adam, and Noah; and great-grandchildren, Alianna, Grayson, Maycee, Kylie, Jolee, Jackson, and Oakley.

A graveside service will be held Saturday, June 29, 2024, at 10 a.m., at Towles Cemetery.
