Obituary of Alice Fern Warner

Alice Fern Warner, 81-year-old resident of Doniphan, MO, departed this life Thursday, June 6, 2024, at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center in Poplar Bluff, MO. She was born July 25, 1942, in Oxly, MO, to the late Carl and Dortha (Dabbs) Roundtree.

 

Alice had worked at G & W Grocery Store and then later at Missouri Forge. She was a loving and caring wife, mother, and grandmother and her grandchildren and her beloved dog held a special place in her heart. When her health would allow, Alice attended West Doniphan, Baptist Church.

 

On June 27, 1961, Alice married Edward R. Warner in Doniphan, MO. He survives. Also surviving are her children, Patty Greenlee of Doniphan and Eddie Warner, Jr. of Ellington, MO; a sister, Phyllis Cannon of Doniphan, as well as five grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.

 

Alice was preceded in death by a brother, Glen Roundtree, and a grandchild, Jamie Olivio.

 

Visitation will be held in the Edwards Funeral Home Chapel on Tuesday, June 11, 2024, beginning at 9:30 a.m. with the funeral service to follow at 11:30 a.m. Interment will be in the Missouri Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield, MO.
