Steven Eugene Braschler, 64-year-old resident of Doniphan, MO, departed this life Wednesday, June 5, 2024. He was born September 26, 1959, in Poplar Bluff, MO, to the late Melvin Eugene and Norma (Rahm) Braschler.

Steve loved the outdoors and anything that had to do with being outside always caught his attention, ranging from his love of farming and spending hours on the tractor to hunting and to riding motorcycles. In addition to farming, Steve had also worked as a truck driver for Cane Creek Stone.  Steve would join others in our area showing his American pride by placing wreaths on the gravesites at the Missouri Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield. Even though his love of the outdoors and his country was strong, spending time with his son, Derrick, was always his utmost priority.

On May 26, 1979, Steve married Brenda Hoefer at the Doniphan Church of Christ. She preceded him in death on March 9, 2015.

Surviving is his son, Derrick Braschler of Doniphan, and a sister-in-law, Teresa Hoefer of Cape Girardeau. Being from the Braschler family, Steve is also survived by many aunts, uncles, and cousins and numerous friends as well as his Oak Grove Church of God family.

Visitation will be held in the Edwards Funeral Home Chapel on Saturday, June 8, 2024, beginning at 10:00 with a graveside service to follow at noon at the Doniphan City Cemetery. Brother Danny Miller will be officiating.
