Donald George Harring, 83, of Doniphan, MO, departed this life Saturday, April 20, 2024. He was born October 13, 1940, in Ganges, MI, to the late George John and June Margaret (Bowie) Harring.

Don had served in the United States Marines and retired from full-time service in the Army National Guard. He had also been a factory welding supervisor for 26 years. Don enjoyed living on his acreage in rural Ripley County where he took every opportunity to go hunting and fishing. He also liked to collect antique clocks.

On July 3, 1963, Don married Dawn (Dixon) Harring. She preceded him in death on July 16, 2020. He was also preceded by his brothers, Roger and George John, Jr.

Surviving are his daughters, Lanita (Larry) Plunkett of Grapevine, AR, Lynette (Dennis) Jones of Maynard, AR, and Johnna Nestler of Spring Grove, IL, and sisters, Peggy Stauter, of Dallas, TX, Bonnie Meyer of Lake Geneva, WI, Penny Tomczak of Dallas, TX, and Connie Hall of Tullahoma, TN. Also surviving are his grandchildren, Angela, Amber, Victoria, Kyle, Jordyn, Jaysa, Bo, and Denis, and great-grandchildren, Gracie, Jayden, Clayton, Nicholas, Peyton, Adilynn, Parker, Chett, Aysen, Tucker, Elyse, Kynslee, Saylor, Conner, and Brayden.

A graveside service will be held Thursday, April 25, 2024, at 11:00 a.m., at Hunt-White Memorial Gardens.
