Jacklyn D. Buckley, 73-year-old resident of Maynard, AR, departed this life Sunday, March 10, 2024, at Arkansas Continued Care Hospital in Jonesboro, AR. She was born November 26, 1950, in Franks, MO, to the late Cleaven and Ruby (Yates) Cox.

Jacklyn had been a greeter at Wal-Mart, greeting shoppers with a warm and helpful smile. All living things brightened the day for Jacklyn. She especially loved animals and her flowers. Spending time at the lake and with her family, especially her children and grandchildren, was the highlight of all the times she cherished most.

On December 29, 1972, Jacklyn married Gary Buckley in Lawrence County, AR. He survives. Also surviving are her daughters, Jennifer McKinney of Maynard, AR and Stacey Hopkins of Pocahontas, AR; two sisters, Barb Cox and Linda Cox, both of Maynard; four grandchildren, Jordan (Joseph) James, Jessica Hopkins, Braden McKinney, and Kyra Buckley; three great-grandchildren, Raegan, Natalie, and Mallory James; and many dear nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Visitation will be held in the Edwards Funeral Home Chapel on Wednesday, March 13, 2024, beginning at noon with the funeral service to follow at 2:00 p.m. Burial will be in the Cox Cemetery.
